City Transit policies
Terms & Conditions
Clear terms help customers understand how services, payments and requests are handled.
Effective date: August 2026. These Terms govern requests and services provided by City Transit through this website, phone, WhatsApp, email or other channels.
1. Service requests and confirmation
A submitted form, message or call is a request only. A booking is confirmed only when City Transit communicates acceptance, price and any required payment or deposit.
2. Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate names, contact information, locations, timing, passenger counts, item descriptions, values and handling instructions. Customers must have authority to request transport, collection, purchase, delivery or import of the persons or goods involved.
3. Safety and lawful use
City Transit may refuse or stop any service involving unsafe conduct, abusive behavior, unlawful activity, prohibited goods, inaccurate declarations, dangerous conditions or requests outside operational capability.
4. Pricing and additional charges
Quotes are based on information provided and may change if distance, waiting time, stops, passengers, luggage, item size, purchase amount, freight, duties, third-party fees or service scope changes. Additional charges will be communicated where reasonably possible.
5. Passenger services
Passengers must follow lawful safety directions. Children must travel with legally required restraints supplied or arranged by the responsible adult unless otherwise agreed. City Transit is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures, flights, ferries or events outside reasonable control.
6. Deliveries and errands
Items must be properly packaged and accurately described. City Transit may require identification, receipts, recipient confirmation or proof of authority. Perishable, fragile, high-value or time-sensitive goods are accepted only when expressly agreed.
7. Rentals
Car rentals are available in Abaco only and are subject to vehicle availability, licence verification, eligibility, deposit, payment, inspection and a separate rental agreement.
8. Import services
Import assistance may involve third parties, freight carriers, suppliers, customs authorities and government agencies. Duties, taxes, inspections, storage, demurrage, exchange-rate changes and third-party delays are the customer’s responsibility unless a written agreement states otherwise.
9. Cancellation and refunds
The Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, City Transit is responsible only for direct loss caused by its proven negligence or breach, subject to any written service-specific limits. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Website and communications
Website content is provided for general information and may change. Customers consent to operational communications related to their request. Marketing communications require separate consent where applicable.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Disputes should first be raised with City Transit at info@citytransit.vip so the parties can attempt a good-faith resolution.
